I was thinking along the lines of a wood splitter converted to a can 
crusher.  Hydraulics are already there.  Limit switches so the can gets 
crushed to the oh so correct thickness, G code for soda cans, G code for 
soup cans, and you can even use it on those big gallon-sized 
institutional food cans!  The possibilities are endless...  ;-)
