Interesting.

Are you able to get a position update back from the 7i43 every servo 
cycle or are you simply looping the position back inside the driver in 
the PC, which is probably just as well - after all this is a stepper system.

Do you have, or did you have any latency issues using USB to control the 
7i43 board?

Using USB is convenient from a physical connection standpoint if you 
don't have any noise issues, but are there other reasons you wanted to 
use USB seeing that the 7i43 is available with a LPT port interface also?
