A little bit of excitement in my own life is that I am in the process of
buying a warehouse for money making purposes. (expand my surplus buying and
selling)
The warehouse purchase deal includes several industrial machines, tooling,
shelving, raw materials etc, as found in the warehouse.
One of the machines is an "Anca Fastgrind" CNC tool and cutter grinder.
Similar to this:

According to the seller, it has a "bad motherboard". The seller is an
extremely honest man, according to my 11 year old surplus trading
experience. With such guys, most surprises are good surprises.
There may be, possibly, not much wrong with it.
Anyway, I have three questions.
1. Is it too obsolete for any people who do T&C grinding to make money? In
other words, if I fix it, do I stand a realistic chance of selling it?
2. For someone with general troubleshooting skills and a minimum CNC
knowledge, how hard is this thing to troubleshoot?
3. Can I put a new industrial control on this?
I do not want this to become an endless time drain. For me, it is either fix
quickly, or just sell as is, or part out. This warehouse is a business
venture, and at this stage, I do not want to start another year long
retrofit project, especially for something with such a non-obvious function,
as a tool and cutter grinder.
My Bridgeport Interact was great fun, and is now very useful, but I had more
time back then.
I want to hear an opinion of someone experienced.
Thanks!
