I guess Jon gets a gold star for today (maybe for the week). I just
tried the Pluto/SIIG card on a KM400 motherboard booted from an
8.04/EMC2 2.3 LiveCD. It failed just like the other KM400 boards, but
does work on my Intel motherboard. Then I booted a 10.04/EMC2 2.4 LiveCD
on the KM400 board, and the Pluto/SIIG worked without any fuss. On the
first attempt, I tried to anticipate a problem by removing all of the
parallel port modules, but got a "missing symbols" error with "loadrt
pluto_servo ...". I then rebooted and didn't try to "fix" anything, and
it just worked. The real proof will be when I try this on the actual
mill PC, but it looks like 10.04/EMC2 2.4/Pluto/SIIG should work. Thanks
Jon (and of course Chris for fixing the s/w). I suppose Peter is correct
too, because the fix seems to be the newer driver.

I'm so privileged to know such people out standing in their fields.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
