I wonder if one end of the gantry could have an independent comp that just keeps alignment with the master side. The alignment could be by reading were a laser hits a target, or a webcam/telescope reading a target from the other side. This would need to be enclosed in a tube spanning the two sides and linked with e-stop. EMC2 would just control the master side. -- Kirk Wallace http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ http://www.wallacecompany.com/E45/index.html California, USA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ RSA(R) Conference 2012 Save $700 by Nov 18 Register now http://p.sf.net/sfu/rsa-sfdev2dev1 _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
