I'd like to help, but my only machine is a trivkins mill that runs without any 
problem.

Are you guys both on gantry machines, with two independent motors controlling 
one axis?

Can you make a sim config (maybe based on the current sim gantry config) that  
demonstrates the problem?

Is this related maybe to SF bug 1698853?

Hm, your problem seems different than that one.  Please open a new bug for this 
issue and attach both your full configs to it.
