Help! I finally managed to get this thing into the firmware update mode, but I'll be damned if I can make head nor tails out of the dfu-util-0.5 output and the errors I am getting when I try to -U or -D a file. Here is the main output of dfu-util -l: Found Runtime: [0483:df11] devnum=0, cfg=1, intf=0, alt=0, name="@Internal Flash /0x08000000/12*001Ka,116*001Kg" Found Runtime: [0483:df11] devnum=0, cfg=1, intf=0, alt=1, name="@SPI Flash : M25P64/0x00000000/64*064Kg,64*064Kg" The mimeo'd instructions that came with it specify the wrong button combo to make it boot the DFU interface, it isn't the upper sorta right arrow button, but the whole square center button that does it. I Think, lemme check one other potential culprit, the center buttons right arrow. Nope, it must be pressed firmly in the center. I have these two files from the benf archive: DSO BenF APP v3.64.dfu DSO BenF LIB v3.53.dfu And the best I can do is this error: [gene@coyote DSO]$ dfu-util --alt="@Internal Flash /0x08000000/12*001Ka,116*001Kg" -D "DSO BenF LIB v3.53.dfu" dfu-util 0.5 (C) 2005-2008 by Weston Schmidt, Harald Welte and OpenMoko Inc. But at least I now I know how to get back to the update mode. I have also tried to run the DfuSe windows kit with wine, but apparently wine has no access to the USB stuff on a linux box other than the mouse/keyboard. I have it all on a usb key I could take to a windows lappy next door, if I can get the lappy to read the filesystem on an 8Gb Kingston Data Traveler.
