I considered that, but the darned thing is also wider than the shelf where it would go, which is wide enough for any normal keyboard with 1/2" to spare. Having to rebuild the whole little cubical where the mills electronics fit hasn't been exactly my highest priority. The thing was made so that the mill with something on the table, would fit with the right end of the table and motor extending under it. If I am to sit down and type, I'd need an overly tall bar stool. There is one I can use but in that teeny shop, its always in the way, or stacked full of things I don't have any better place to put. Whoever told me I could put a bookcase, a 10" radial arm saw with an oversized 2x4 table, an office machine table with an added drawer kit which holds my surface plate, a 6"x47" delta jointer, a rikon 10-325 extra tall bandsaw, a wood lathe, a wall mounted grinder, a floor model drill press, a 3' wide, 66" tall tool cabinet I made, the mini-lathe on a steel kitchen cabinet base, and the mill on yet another steel cabinet base has never had to work in such cramped quarters. The floor is 10x16. The bar stool is a big one and always in the way. I forgot, there's also a cart with my mig welder on it, and one corner holds a pile of wood scraps suitable for quicky glue blocks etc. A fire insurance salesman's worst dream. But there is an ABC extinguisher hanging on the inside of the double wide front door I have never had to reach for. Yet. That faint thumping sound? Self explanatory. :) Cheers, Gene -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
