It wasn't "dropped in". Perhaps I should have said

and they had it working in a "modified" popular large saloon car as a
demonstrator.
 
It wasn't a simple 1:1 swap with the existing engine or fuel system or a
bolt on accessory, but externally and passenger compartment wise the car
looked no different.
