The INI Files all seem to contain this:

[EMC]
# Version of this INI file
VERSION =               $Revision$

I have no idea what that means, or what it is used for.
At first glance it seems that the plan might have been a subsitution
of a version number into the sample configs as they were copied across
during installation. Or perhaps the plan was something else entirely.
