I seem to remember there being a fix for this around v2.3 or something to stop the stepper motors hunting.which i assume must have been a parameter to set the tolerance for acceptable position. Does this not apply when using hardware generated pulses? I will have to leave the beaglebone on the bench until charles has time to sort this one out. I don't think it is doing any damage but it really does sound awful.
