Hello everyone,

we use LinuxCNC to control a dispenser. Since the fluids in use (epoxys
for example) can change their viscosity over time, we should be able to
control the dispensed volume while the machine is running. This is no
problem when dispensing a line, as the feed of this line can be adjusted
with the feed override. But it is not that easy when making a dot, as
this is programmed like so:

M68 E0 Q1 (dispenser on)
G4 P1.5 (dispense time)
M68 E0 Q0 (dispenser off)

So my question is: Is it possible to adjust dwell times while the
interpreter is executing a program? It is not necessary that the
adjustment can be made while the G4 is actually waiting, it's ok if a
modification just affects all future G4s in the running program.

I know that we could move an otherwise unused axis (say U or V, which is
not actually present on the machine) as a workaround for this, so it's
not that critical. But influencing the G4 times directly would be a
cleaner approach.

Thanks!

Best regards,
Philipp
