Trying to wrap my noodle around, this. Two gears with the same pitch but different tooth counts won't have the same diameters. So do they fudge the pitches on the two so the diameters are the same, that way the band only has to flex in a single axis? Not sure how well that would work on the coarser pitches of a rubber toothed belt, or what it might do to backlash and wear.
