Hey guys

Just wondering what the developers think about adding native cam to the
default linuxcnc iso.

I have been having a look on you tube at it and it just looks so good for
quick stuff

Especially for a lathe

I have 5 big machines here running Linuxcnc. All proper machines with
toolchangers and high speed spindles etc.

And we have used several cam softwares over the years.

Starting in fusion 360 and then using bobcam.

And then ecam which is a awesome software and so cheap. Really sweet for
lathes.

I also have a CNC lathe with a fagor controller. And the fagor is really
quick for simple stuff the profile cycle is so fast. Like I can reprogram
a part in a couple of minutes.

Now this has always been one of the biggest limitations to linuxcnc in my
opinion. Over the last 8 years i have been using it.

And native cam has been hanging around for awhile now

I just wanted to see if it could be added to the default iso so we can all
use it easily.

Anyway just a few thoughts.

Cheers andrew
