I still use axis as I have tried qtvcp and qtpyvcp (probe basic) And they are just so new that it's easier to get bugs. And because axis has been running for so long there are not really any bugs. But I might change once the conversational stuff gets done. Here is the latest from Hans and everyone else working on native cam. Looks like it is ported to python 3 and works on Linux 2.93 now. Exciting stuff. I use my CNC lathes daily on production. Making thousands of parts and linuxcnc has been great. I use the fanuc style (t0101) remap and it has been great so far. Tiny bit clunky to use but it's reliable which is the main thing. That's also something that I would love to see in a new GUI. A better wear offsets table.
