I honestly think it's too early to even think about what we might want or need to change, since we don't know yet where Thunderbird is heading to. And as we don't know yet what will happen to Thunderbird, we simply don't know what will happen to Enigmail either. Current discussions between the relevant people can be summarized as follows: a) TB /may/ move away from the Mozilla platform entirely; b) TB /may/ fork the Mozilla platform before XUL & XPCOM are removed c) TB /may/ stick to the Mozilla platform and adopt to non-XUL and (more importantly) non-XPCOM models. In any case, the planning for Thunderbird is closer to 3 years than 1 or 2 (and in the fork the Mozilla platform for a limited time). - -Patrick -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJWQu9KAAoJENsRh7ndX2k7iQcP/3PUjf0M5aly3cK4EF3vH9ik TTFwz2togmsYqzqnBC2Hc58ZuoN781EGmiTmgTQY0gAz0q2/SKGCYqaGwUIOqxHC zvfgyH2ZTy0exydu0sN4SJy3G5eZX9BWsb0AOGuTof3ZrMVKvyj2xTd6knCJ4IMj vooEIv+nyG8mns2JDiVFzjbkK1l7Y96nn/RdDiOiKyCT0tzcH9Bi0PSZGprADjpS bfb8hDb/EieAQMlX8sfzpvZgvWdOkz7YN0sb4ytwjvGwHG2TIVhwcwhC7SJpRyeD yGgqT1g5eIWSzDEN4SrArl0/lyx9q63WuDNwCx4iSsa2mL7R9VmJV5nEAUHAQeYd I2d+4Qu19doHsDCxZ9a/3YBzcjiY8ad5tuEQ/2GyprSIwqw+MEB49A8f97wKZxak B+i+ciunZfzNhCEhJSjsWl9JK6cX2XGVFX4ew8jg6Sg+Jme1byNJUo+toc0kFzs5 x0hJHWToIYtPc9M1MBZCYnH09BbsqL54XTqqCEFYnS13djKeSfu2kdUzImARWYcW drr2y+4NrEPuVrKY9e89a73rihgegLpyIdLHskQDVY01sgsjMe9mqgSDOj9+24US vn23KftpFAZ6JOP9Y6mjFy2POM2T8UIuUQ98wsS+ITy/0UN5JtLPq5A8Vd1gzf05 y58X2KlS0vlCzlfqXfjT =D5EV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ enigmail-users mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or make changes to your subscription click here: https://admin.hostpoint.ch/mailman/listinfo/enigmail-users_enigmail.net
