Hello,

Storing e-mails in their encrypted form has many drawbacks (regarding users ability to full-text search them for instance).

So, I'm considering to change my current configuration.

I would like to store my emails on an encrypted disk/partition that I would mount/decrypt before launching Thunderbird.

Would it be possible to configure Enigmail to store the decripted mail (and provide the original mail as an attachment for instance) ?

So, things would work like this:

- (independently from Thunderbird) mount/provide pass phrase of secure partion where mails are stored ;

- launch Thunderbird ;

- if a new encrypted email is received, keep it in that format until first decryption ;

- after first decryption, replace the encrypted email by the decrypted one, permanently ;

- provide the original encrypted email as an attachment of the permanently decrypted email.

Best.

CA
