Enigmail _does_ offer filter rules that allow to either create a

The filter rules are available in the regular Thunderbird Message

Awesome! I didn't know about this feature.

Even though I have checked the wiki [1] I still have a hard time figuring out how it works in practice.

[1] https://enigmail.wiki/Signature_and_Encryption#Permanent_decryption_of_messages

If I chose the "Create a decrypted copy option":

- what happens to the original message, what happens to the decrypted copy?

- Where are they stored?

- is there a visual indicator providing information about the fact that a mail is a actually a decrypted copy?

- what about the signature, if a mail was encrypted and signed, what happens?

Thank you in advance for you help (do not hesitate to update the wiki and point me to it, I am these answers could be useful to others too).
