You will get a new decrypted message looking quite the same as the original one, except that it is decrypted. The original message will remain unchanged. > - Where are they stored? If the message was signed and encrypted in one step, then the signature will be removed as well. GnuPG does not have a functionality to extract the signature from the encryption (which would theoretically be possible). If the message was first signed and then encrypted, then the signature will remain intact. -Patrick
