This does not sound too clumsy to me.  If we want to have a convention where 
the last term in a funtion is a verb it would make it more clumsy to have 
exceptions.  I say go for it.

What are your thoughts about having lingering alias functions?  I dont see any 
need to cover for 3rd party applications if we are still in the pre-alpha 
stage.
