I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you mean what window manager should you use? Because, yes this works in enlightenment without anything else. And I run E the same way you do; with nothing else behind it. I have a simple, standard E without Gnome, or KDE or whatever else running with it. For the people maintaining or developping E: This might be something to be included in the documentation for E: a list of all the sortcuts and keyboard/mouse combinations and the actions they produce. Personally, I discovered them by fiddling around, and I still discover new ones from time to time.
