Yeah, the application menu is not localized unless you install the
"menu-xdg" package and select the Debian app menu at the very beginning
(wizard screens...).

Installing the "kubuntu-desktop" meta-package does the trick too (then
select the kde4 app menu...).

On Ubuntu 10.10, the "pcmanfm" package drags in the lxde menu that comes
with correct localization. You can also use the "menu-xdg" package.
