I found another way to achieve what I wanted: I just set the time delay defined as variable LINEAR to 0.0 instead of 0.2 (seconds). So the animation is still there, but the change appears to be instantaneous. Thus I still can easily identify the active window (the one that has the focus) without being annoyed by "window blinds" constantly being opened and pulled down. Thanks a lot for your explanations, which helped to find my way, here. I guess, I'd have to experiment a lot, before I'll be able to create my own theme. Probably I'll get some more themes from the net and modify them in order to see, what the effect of each change is, before I try to create something on my own from scratch...
