Thanks for looking into this, they look like good options. I'll aim
to incorporate these into the next release.

Ah yes, I didn't realize you meant the flickering in live view mode.
That is because the files being downloaded are so small there is
not much progress to display & we download 20 odd per second. We
can clearly disable the progess display during live view
