Ok just tested the a shortcut. Well it seems to work but with a few problems (still Canon EOS 50D): 1) it works only the first time after going to preview mode. If I move the camera and the center is out of focus, it won't refocus. This is maybe normal, and actually I would find the opposite annoying. But just stating to be sure of the expected behaviour. But especially after this first autofocus, even when clicking again 'a' it won't autofocus again. The only way to force a new autofocus is to get out of preview mode, then back in, then 'a' again. I imagine this one is not expected behaviour, is it? 2) I can clearly hear the shutter closing/opening while autofocusing. Is it normal or even needed? Can't the autofocus happen during preview mode? > gphoto itself will do an autofocus operation when capturing > an image in some cases. This is a very annoying limitation, in my opinion. Do we know if this is a limitation of gphoto, or is it a limitation from the available interface given by camera makers?
