With Kamprath's Text Utilites scripting addition, a tiny, free download from
<http://macscripter.net>, this is very simple:
set x to "THIS TITLE SHOULD BE PARTLY LOWERCASE"
set x to set capitalization in x to word capitalization
x
-- "This Title Should Be Partly Lowercase"
I recommend this useful tool for everyone. It also contains commands for
"replace string" and "find text after".
