That's why I left mine set to five seconds. In Consultant, I would hit the
"enter" key to turn the modem off when I pick up the phone. On the other
hand, sometimes I dial numbers to listen to a prerecorded message, like a
system status report. I that case, I just listen through the modem and
never pick up the phone. While I'm glad we have this hack, it's no
substitute for a well designed, full-featured pim. I'm looking forward to
Entourage ver 2.0
