The problem is that if the message disappears as soon as you click on it and
it's marked read, you won't be able to read it in the preview pane. Like
the View Unread Only option for viewing folders, we leave messages around
after you read them. It's also nice for those cases where you read a
message, move on to another and then want to go back to the earlier one.
