Kind of like that...
But the menu item is hidden (rightly so given its speed). ;-)
I'm thinking an AOL'sh / Netscape 6'sh huge, glaringly obvious, cartoon'sh
(dare I say amateur'sh...oh wait, I covered that in the first adjective set)
UI element that leaps off the screen and smacks people in the forehand.
And by then, everything will be indexed...so it won't be so slow that I have
to look at it crawling through my 40k messages (and yes, I'm currently not
subscribed to my 1000+ other IMAP folders with the other 150k+
messages...the joy of escaping a 500+ developer, 4 million+ lines of code
developmental nightmare).

Anyhow, I'm looking for my computer to start letting me work more like a
person instead of a person trying to work like a computer.
I wanna tell it "show me all of the messages from Pam this month" <Bam,
nearly instant presentation>
"No, make that this week". <Drastically shorter list>
"Just the ones she's sent me since yesterday".
"Only those about how high-speed, ubiquitous wireless networking will change
people's lives".

Dang it, I saw an Apple presentation for the silly thing 15 years ago...
It's not like I'm asking Entourage to collate data from around the world and
build me an animated illustration demonstrating the rate of deforestation in
the Amazon basin... ;-)
