Dear all,
Apologies as this almost appears to be an FAQ on this list. But having been
through both MS support newsgroups and the archives, I can't find what I see
as a comprehensive answer to the problem.
My Entourage is extremely slow. I'm runing it on a Bronze G3 500 Mhz
powerbook with 256 meg of RAM and 50 megs allocated to Entourage.
I have a mail database that is quite small (91 megs) and 1800 contacts in
the contacts list.
When I select a New mail message entourage takes up to 90 seconds to respond
and draw up the window. Searching contacts is treacle slow. Many other
functions are noticeably slower.
My Mac hangs as much as it ever did, although surpsingly rarely due to
Entourage. (If I leave it, I tend to get control of the application).
Any suggestions and fixes?
I'm happy to compile fixes if people want to reply off list and I'll post a
comprehensive answer, if you would prefer.
