Your script project sounds very interesting, Allen. I'll look forward to it.
Needless to say, if you want to archive any of these mbox files you don't
have to use the desktop: anywhere on the hard disk will work, and you can
even ask the user to select where by using 'choose folder', or can use the
Microsoft Data User folder as default since we always know where it is.
One thing to bear in mind: I'm not _absolutely_ certain that the save to a
path name (as above) works without the silent coercions of Jon's Commands or
Akua Sweets. And the trouble is that you can't write:
save folder "Test" in file (((path to desktop) as string) & "Test")
because Entourage, like OE, has its own 'file' class which messes that up
and won't allow it. You can't use 'alias' when you're making a new file,
since it doesn't exist yet: that will error too. But there is away to get it
to work, which I once tested. First, you should remove all your 3rd-party
osaxen, esp. Jon's and Akua, and restart computer (or do the copy and trash
original trick). Try the path name code, as above. If it still works, fine.
If not, this is guaranteed to work:
save folder "Test" in (((path to desktop) as string) & "Test") as file
specification

The trouble is: Eudora Lite's Find function is really lousy. That's why I
switched to OE in the first place. (I'm told that Eudora (Pro)'s is great.)
Can you please tell me the name of your Fix-Mbox script? I'd never needed it
before, but now I just might. I also noticed when I opened one of these
dragged-folder-files that the top From line is messed up. Is that what your
script fixes, or is it something else? (The correct From: seems to be there
further down the headers.)
