OK, thanks for the tip.

When I first started scripting Eudora there were all sorts of little
oddities like this that kept sneaking up on me. After a while they become
second nature and you don't give them a thought. I guess moving to another
app is like putting on new shoes - it pinches in places the old one didn't.
