Do the following three steps:

1. Delete the following files then launch Entourage and Word BEFORE IE.

(you may not have them all):

[in Extensions]
Microsoft Clipboard Library
Microsoft Component Library
Microsoft Internet Library
Microsoft OLE Automation
Microsoft OLE Library
Microsoft Structured Storage
Framework
RPC Runtime Library
Hyperlink Library
Type Libraries (this one is a folder)

[in Preferences]
Microsoft (this one is a folder)
PPC Registration Database

[in the System Folder]
MS Preference Panels (this one is a folder)

ActiveX Controls folder in Extensions...delete Control Library. Note:
"Microsoft Office 2001:Office:IE 5 Control for Office" should suffice if
you don't use OE 5.x.

2. Copy (don't move) the "Microsoft Internet Library" from the system's
extensions folder to the Microsoft Office 2001:Office folder

3. Up the memory for IE and Entourage. I suggest you double it.

Note: Mac OS 9 has a bug in which the Temporary Items folder is not cleared
out (This was fixed in 9.1). When either Internet Explorer or Outlook
Express crash, the files they place in the Temporary Items folder are not
cleared out and may be causing subsequent crashing. AutoPurge (freeware)
can be used in the Startup Items folder to remove temporary items.
