Having fallen into this trap a few times myself, this is not necessarily the
case!!!

For example, Microsoft Project, lagging a long way behind the Windows
version, does not have a 'First Run' installer and relies on several MS
extensions/libraries to function. If you use MSP and toss out 'everything
beginning with MS' then you WILL break MSP!
