Man, this one's getting to me:
I have 9.04, Word 2001, and a IntelliMouse Explorer. Everything has been
hunky dory for months. Now, though, the scroll wheel isn't working well in
Word. There is a 2 second pause before a page starts to scroll up or down
using the IntelliMouse's wheel.
This sluggishness only happens in Word, not Quark, Internet Explorer,
Entourage, or anything else.
I just bought a new Kensington optical Pro in hopes of getting rid of the
problem, and I'm seeing the same darn thing.
I've started with all extensions off (except the mouse software). I've
tested for viruses, rebuilt desktop, zapped pram, etc. I've trashed all the
Word prefs I could find, even completely rebuilding the Normal template from
scratch.
The really weird thing is that when I first start Word each time, the scroll
wheel (on both mice) actually works quite well for about 15 seconds.
Ideas?
