Allen, I'm quite sure it isn't misinformation. I have exactly the same
problem - I'm also using Microsoft IntelliMouse - and it certainly is
connected to spell checking - unfortunately, I should say.
As a matter of fact I've had a lot of spell checking problems with
Office2000 - but they are all solved, explained or 'compensated' now.
