I have changed that pref to ignore addresses. Still chokes.
I have tried surrounding URL with <> and that chokes.
I have tried pref set to NOT ignore with <>...chokes.
I've changed spell checking prefs in Word. Still chokes.

This past weekend I deinstalled and reinstalled Office and spent over an
hour adding back all my email accounts (mostly to try to stop the
replication of Visor synched items)...no luck on either front.

As for the clipart, that was just an example.  But thank you (I have trashed
it long ago).
