Do you maybe have more than one set of Internet preferences? (You can select
between sets in the Internet control panel.)
If not, try deleting your Internet prefs file and redefining all the
settings. (You may want to make a note of what they are currently before
deleting the file!) Alternative: move the file elsewhere and rename it, so
the CP has to create a new file, but you can still go back to the old with
all current settings if recreating it does not solve your problem.
