Well, there's an easier and cheaper way (since FB has gone to $39.95
shareware, which to me puts it beyond shareware; though I guess you can
still download and use it without paying!). Don't need a script, either.

I found that in Sherlock's advanced options that you get to by clicking on
Edit, you can search for invisible files and folders (first item under
Advanced Options). Once you find the invisible files, you can delete them by
selecting "Move to Trash" from the file menu. At least I think you can; I
didn't have anything I really wanted to delete. Make sure you delete ONLY
the things in the Volume Settings folder.
