What was the point? A little levity perhaps? I think this discussion has
gotten a bit out of hand.
The updater did not work because of changes (no matter how reasonable) that
people had made to the default set up. Is that a pain? Yes. Was it written
up? Yes, in at least one place, albeit not the ReadMe. Could the installer
be better? Sure, everything could be better. Are there bigger issues to
worry about? You betcha.
