Whoa, this must be a concept install that slipped out of the factory.
Actually I used the same downloaded update install for both machines so that
cannot be the reason. Unfortunately I have no idea how I got the fix, but
it seems to be working at home and at work it definitely is not.
At home I have a B&W G3/350 MHz, with 128 MB memory, and Mac OS 9.1
At work I use a PB G3, Bronze Keyboard, with 192 MB memory, and Mac OS 9.0.4
Could the OS be the difference? Or maybe just the different type of
machine?
I'll see about upgrading the laptop OS this weekend if I get some time and
will let you know if it makes a difference.
