I can mark all my unread messages (in a given folder) as read in two ways:
1) Choose "Mark all as read"
or
2) Cmd-Y to show only unread. Cmd-A to select all. Cmd-T to mark the
selected items as read.
Option 2 is typically tremendously faster than option 1, especially in a
large mailbox like a mailing list or the like.
Hopefully this message is both a helpful suggestion to users, and also a
helpful suggestion to the Entourage team for an area for improvement! :-)
(And thanks again for adding the confirmation dialog to the "Mark All as
Read" menu item!!)
