Allow me to second this entire comment - I too would like to use threaded
view, but I don't because of the limited options in terms of configuration
of the display. I too would prefer a sort by date option in combination with
threaded view - which would make it infinitely more functional.
It always seemed to me that threaded view was a bone they threw to pacify
some marketing drone, but no one during development ever used it (obviously
no one uses Entourage/OE to read newsgroups:-)
