I'll chime in to say that not only have I not seen it, but I run most of the
third-party add-ons that have been accused of contributing to the slowdown:
Default Folder, OneClick, SpellCatcher, TypeIt4Me (although I decided I
didn't really need it I did use it for some time), FinderPop, Contextual
Menu Items with Apple Data Detectors, OSA Menu, BeHierarchic, .... You name
it, I've probably tried it and most likely still use it in 9.1. And all that
without seeing any slowdowns in Entourage.

One thing I am almost sure that causes me problems whenever I've tried it is
Instant Palm Desktop (the thing in the menu bar, not the regular Palm
Desktop application). I got rid of that, though, when I got Entourage. Apple
Menu Items is another thing I've suspected of difficulties, which is why I
replaced it with BeHierarchic.

So, none of those by themselves or in combination are the cause of the
slowdown because I do not see it.
