Sorry about this long post, but it was also big trouble and I hope that the
feedback helps to improve the product or give me hints to understand my
errors.

When I first completed the import of my old settings from Entourage 2001 I
had all import options checked. The import seemed to have gone well until I
realized that some of the custom folders were missing, so I repeated the
procedure, after deleting all messages and this time just imported the
messages. This time the folder showed up but not in the the old hierarchy.
The top level folder 'Saved Messages' (same level as INBOX etc.) was
missing, but all the subfolders where present in just that level. Oh well
not big of a deal I thought and rearranged the folder structure to my
liking, e.g. created 'Saved Messages' and put the subfolders therein. Then
it was late at night and I put me and my Pismo (500 MHz/640MB/MacOS 10.1.2)
to sleep. While I had no trouble getting up, Entourage refused to wake up
not even after 20 minutes e.g. although it started receiving messages again
it presented me with a spinning beach ball. Alright I forced quit and on
restart all those custom folders where gone. I rebuilt the database but no
luck. So this time I created the Folder 'Saved Messages' before I started
the import again. I deleted all other messages in my old Entourage (2001)
other then "Saved Messages" folder and started the import (only Messages)
again. But again the subfolder would show up one level above their original
hierarchy, so I had to move them manually again. This time I closed
Entourage right after the import and rebuilt the database, just to help it
remember my folders. So far 2h the are still there when I open and close the
program.
One minor but nasty side effect was that although I explicitly unchecked
everything other than 'messages' when engaging the import - I still end up
having duplicate mailinglist rules. This happened repeatedly so I think that
must be a bug since they should not be reimported if not requested. That
requires you to delete the duplicate and to check if the folder assignment
is still correct since the duplicate redirects the messages to "Inbox'
again'.
Anybody else experiencing this.
