Besides which, its bloody silly to have two nearly identical products
whose only differentiation is that they each dont do the necessary 20-odd
percent of each others features to replace its mate. A shamefull waste of
resources and incredibly annoying IMO. Sure Outlook:mac 2001 is a fine
product -- especially compared to previous Exchange clients for Mac OS --
but theres no doubt its Entourage thats the Real Deal.

Given that Outlook 2002 alledgedly insists on HTML rather then Rich Text
(RTF?), and Erage allready supports this, there is very little that
actually remains to make it a full Exchange client in practice. Access to
the Directory (via LDAP) and synchronization of Calendar, Contacts, and
Notes (via IMAP) is pretty much it AFAICT. Authentication might be the only
remaining stumbling block, and thats solvable.

Unless Im missing someting blindingly obvious, this should be a
no-brainer.

Hey, I got my company to subscribe to the Macintosh Application Pool of the
Select program just so I could get Office and use Entourage. :-)

MSIE 5.x had me going, Office 98 sold me, Office 2001 made me a believer,
Office v.X could very well turn me into a zealot Kudos to the MacBU! :-)
