Not quite that bad - eventually, once most of the NeXT mess gets excised, it
will actually become a useful, and productive operating system. I think,
more than anything else, OS X goes to show how little the NeXT team really
*ever* had to deliver during the long years of their tenure... I think the
day OS X becomes a replacement for OS 9 is the day Avie leaves Apple...

I have to. My clients ask about it, and I would do them a disservice to
judge the OS without using it. I should at least know what I'm talking
about, and why I'm bitching. Otherwise, I would not have any leg to stand
on.

Yep, I've seen those, and Paul's doing a damn good job trying to restore
functionality that's gone by any other means available to him.
