Again, thanks  to everyone for responding. I know about toggling unread
only. No, these messages simply get erased as if I was leaning on the delete
key. So you would think that the delete key gets stuck - and I'm not ruling
that out. However, it only happens in Entourage - never in Word (which I use
the delete key a lot). It actually never happens in any other app.

And even in Entourage - it only seems to happen when I'm in my main window,
never when I'm writing/editing (like now).
