Hi Deborah,

You should definitely NOT be getting low memory warnings in X. That is very
very wrong. How much is installed and how much hard drive space do you have
available? Have you dumped your explorer download cache lately
(Users/yourhomefolder/Library/Preferences/Explorer/Download Cache)? After
you do that, restart in single user and do an "/sbin/fsck -y" (without
quotes). Do it multiple times until it reports as ok. The do "/sbin/mount
-uw /" (without quotes).

If those don't bring it all back from the dead you might want to have the
system do a prebind. We can go through that after you report back on the
above issues.
