I think this has been discussed but I am not sure if it was on this list... Can anyone tell me, please, how to stop the E'rage icon in the Doc from bouncing? The bounce makes me dizzy, distracts me from my work, and slows my other apps.
I could swear it didn't do this before my recent recreation of my user, but I cannot figure out how to stop it. It may be an OS thing too. I also ran the fsck recently when I was having problems. Here's what I tried: In E'rage, I turned off all notifications and the mail error sound thinking the icon bounced as notification. That didn't help. I've turned them on and off hoping that would make the pref take hold if it had not. No change. In the Finder (10.1.3), I have Animate opening apps unchecked. All movement in my Doc is minimal. Please don't suggest that I simply don't check mail so often; that's not an option for my business. (Running OS X only. No Classic, fwiw.)
